Ski Photos

Back in December our favorite ski area, Beaver Creek, handed out postcards to mail to your family and friends to show them what a good time you were having. If you brought the card back the next day they'd even spring for postage. We picked up a few cards, including this one

which generated some debate in our family about exactly where the photo was taken.  Being that we're BC veterans and have been skiing there for 25 years now you would think there wouldn't be much cause for debate. We finally figured it out and then had a good laugh. See, BC's tagline is "not exactly roughing it" and here they added "not lifting a mitten". There is one on-mountain restaurant, however, that they advertise as "slightly roughing it." Seating is outdoors, toilets are pit, the menu is limited and you grill it yourself. It's called Mamie's Deck and it's tagline is "slightly roughing it."

So here are these models, sitting just off the advertised "slightly roughing it" spot in BC with a waiter bringing them champagne. Truly, a rough life indeed.

A couple weeks later we found an on mountain photographer at that exact spot. Sadly she hadn't seen the postcard but we recreated our own champagne sipping. At the last minute F turned around to mug the camera.

Taking advantage of a slow morning on the mountain, we did some other fun family photos, including this one:
Time to get my hip fixed so we can continue our fun in the snow!
