How to Have Thanksgiving When Everyone is Sick

Well, not everyone was sick. Travis and Finn were healthy. I was kicking the last of my Dublin cold, and the rest of the crew were all exhibiting unspeakable stomach flu symptoms. So, we all celebrated our Thanksgiving on Friday this year. The turkey got cooked on Thursday and turned into turkey noodle soup for all the sickies (Mom was pretty much recovered and did a great job with dinner). So since no one actually got to see the beautiful turkey before it got carved Mom took a picture of it for everyone to see. Travis was thrilled to get to the leftovers part of Thanksgiving dinner without doing the dinner part first. Leftovers are his favorite part.

We were also hoping Finn would get to go swimming while in warm and sunny Phoenix. The weather was warm enough the beginning of the week but the neighbor-hood pool was a bit murky. Before Travis scoped out the pool (and discovered it was too murky for wee babies) we tested out Finn's pool toy to make sure it didn't have any leaks and discovered that he loved it even without the pool to play in.

Uncle Q's house is about three houses away from the park. Swinging was a big hit.
